The exchange says Ampleforth Governance Token failed its listing standards, though withdrawals will stay open after trading stops

Coinbase plans to suspend trading for Ampleforth Governance Token (FORTH) on November 23, 2026. The cutoff is set for approximately 2 PM ET.

Holders can still withdraw their tokens after that point. They just won’t be able to trade them on Coinbase.

FORTH is not exactly leaving a thriving party. Forth DAO, the community behind the token, approved a wind-down in September. Several other exchanges have already shown FORTH the door.

The suspension covers Coinbase’s main venues: Coinbase.com, Coinbase Exchange and Coinbase Prime. FORTH has already been moved into limit-only mode across those platforms.

Limit-only mode is the exchange version of last call. You can still place a limit order, which is an instruction to buy or sell at a specific price you choose. You can also cancel one.

What you can’t do is place a market order. That’s the “just fill it now at whatever the going rate is” button most casual traders use.

Once November 23 arrives, even that narrower window closes. Withdrawals remain available, so anyone holding FORTH on Coinbase keeps access to their tokens. They’ll simply need to move them elsewhere to do anything with them.

As for why, Coinbase said FORTH did not meet its listing standards following a review. The exchange did not say which standards the token failed or how.

The Coinbase decision lands at the tail end of a broader exit. Forth DAO voted to approve a wind-down on September 18, 2026.

As part of that process, the DAO has planned a USDC distribution. The snapshot for that distribution is planned for December 1, 2026.

A snapshot is a record of who holds what at a specific moment. Projects use it to decide who is entitled to a payout.

Other exchanges moved first. CoinSpot delisted FORTH effective October 8, 2026. Binance and other platforms removed trading support for the token earlier in 2026.

The price reflects that trajectory. FORTH is currently trading in a range of $0.24 to $0.35. That represents a significant decline from its previous highs.

The calendar is the story for anyone still holding FORTH. Coinbase’s trading suspension takes effect on November 23. The DAO’s USDC distribution snapshot is planned for December 1, about a week later.

Those are two separate processes run by two separate parties. Coinbase controls whether FORTH can trade on its platform. Forth DAO controls how the wind-down distribution works.

Holders with FORTH sitting on an exchange may want to confirm how the planned distribution treats exchange-held tokens. Whether a given platform passes along a distribution is a platform-by-platform question, and nothing in Coinbase’s notice addresses it directly.

The continued availability of withdrawals matters for exactly this reason. Coinbase isn’t trapping anyone’s assets. Users can still move FORTH to a self-custodied wallet or another venue before or after the trading halt.
