Strategy disclosed $193.1 million in STRC stock repurchases on October 19 and raised its preferred-share buyback authorization to $3 billion . Separately, the shares traded near $98.72 at the time of this writing, recovering from a recent dip.
Strategy’s SEC filing shows it repurchased around 1.94 million STRC shares between October 12 and 18 .
The board increased the preferred-security repurchase authorization from $2 billion to $3 billion . That total includes purchases that have been made already, which leaves $1.16 billion available as of October 18 .
Importantly, the authorization covers the preferred-security program and STRC.
Strategy funded the latest STRC repurchases from its existing general-purpose dollar cash. That balance was $447.3 million afterwards, and its separate reserve for preferred dividends and debt interest was $4.83 billion .
Strateg y also got 267 BTC for $22.1 million during the week, which takes its holdings to 848,517 BTC .
The sales of MSTR common shares brought $22 million for the purchase, with cash covering the remaining.
For this update, the preferred-share transactions made up more of the spending than the Bitcoin purchase.
The four-hour chart showed STRC near the $98.72 price level after it fell from its October highs close to the $100 price area.
With its latest moves, this makes the $99–$100 price level a clear recovery area. If it moves back through that level, it would be able to recover what it lost during the recent pullback.
Below the current price, the $97.50–$98 price level is a level to look at, but that is if the rebound stops. These levels show where price has reacted, but they do not guarantee if they will be support or resistance levels, based on where the price goes.
Trading continued at the time of this writing, and the chart also cannot show whether the rebound was because of the buyback that was announced.
STRC remains above its July trading levels, but it remains to be seen whether buyers can sustain the recovery toward $100 .
