The first major product since Mastercard's BVNK acquisition puts dollars and stablecoins behind a single API
Mastercard and BVNK have introduced the Mastercard Global Money Platform, a unified infrastructure service that combines Mastercard’s payment network with BVNK’s stablecoin technology through a single API.
Announced as the first major integration of Mastercard and BVNK’s capabilities since Mastercard acquired BVNK in August 2026, the platform enables banks, fintechs and businesses to offer multi-currency accounts holding both fiat currencies and stablecoins, real-time conversion, stablecoin-linked cards and local bank payouts through Mastercard Move.
The platform uses a modular design, allowing customers to adopt individual services and expand without connecting separate providers at each stage of a transaction, Mastercard said. Customers can also use the infrastructure for their own treasury, payment and settlement operations, the companies said.
Through its integration with Mastercard Move, which reaches more than 17 billion endpoints, customers can use stablecoin balances to make local currency payments directly into recipients’ bank accounts, according to Mastercard.

The company added that coverage is expected to expand to more than 40 currencies across over 200 countries and territories in 2027. Users will also be able to spend stablecoin balances at hundreds of millions of Mastercard-accepting merchant locations, while card issuing is available in more than 130 countries.
Nuvei, Marqeta, Ontop, Bolt Group and Almond FinTech will be among the first companies to integrate the platform. Available through BVNK, the infrastructure is designed to accommodate future developments such as agentic commerce and tokenized deposits.
