Aisha Zaman, 27, charged with two firearms offences after incident in city centre on Sunday
A 27-year-old woman has been charged over the shooting of a police officer in Nottingham .
Aisha Zaman, from the Hyson Green area of the city, has been charged with possession of a prohibited firearm and possession of that firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence.
A weapon was recovered and a large crime scene cordon put in place around Angel Row in the heart of the city after the incident at 4.50am on Sunday.
Nottinghamshire police said the officer was approaching two suspects when he was hit by a bullet. He remains in hospital receiving treatment.
