TL;DR: Bitdeer says its September Bitcoin production reached 1,355 BTC, highlighting the miner’s expanding hash rate alongside separate data-center and AI-service plans.

Bitdeer has released another sizable set of Bitcoin mining numbers as the industry weighs how much computing infrastructure should remain dedicated to hashing and how much can be redirected toward artificial intelligence services.

In its latest monthly operating update, published October 19, the company reported mining 1,355 BTC in September. It put the comparable figure a year earlier at 452 BTC, making the latest result roughly three times that level. The performance illustrates the consequences of adding mining capacity, though it does not by itself establish whether returns improved after power and equipment costs.

The company's report provides figures for its different computing operations, including a self-mining hash rate of 82.3 EH/s and co-mining capacity of 28.7 EH/s. Those categories refer to different arrangements and should not be combined carelessly into a single profit forecast.

A miner's monthly Bitcoin production reflects not only its hardware but also global network conditions. Difficulty adjustments, transaction fees, power availability and equipment efficiency change the number of coins that a given fleet can earn.

Even rising production can be accompanied by financial pressure if more competitors install machines or if the average cost of electricity rises. Investors should pair BTC output data with capital expenditure, cash costs and reported profitability before treating mined coins as free cash flow.

Bitdeer also describes an expanding pipeline for AI cloud and infrastructure services. The update references capacity agreements in Malaysia, with planned delivery windows extending into 2027 and 2028.

Those projects operate on a different commercial clock from a new Bitcoin miner brought online this month. A data-center agreement can represent future contracted capacity without proving that the site is finished, fully occupied or generating its forecast revenue today.

The convergence narrative has become popular among large miners because both industries need electricity, facilities and cooling. But the workloads use different processing hardware, and converting a mining site into AI infrastructure can require substantial additional investment.

Bitdeer's production update offers a useful snapshot of a company pursuing both routes. The near-term Bitcoin figures are realized operational results; the AI figures include plans and contracted capacity dependent on delivery.

That distinction will matter as analysts assess whether the company can sustain cash-generating mining operations while funding what may become a much larger infrastructure business over time.
