The new Chrome extension lets Starknet users swap, store, and shield assets, with STRK20 private balances and Ledger support baked in

The Starknet Foundation has launched Bramble, a self-custodial wallet built for swapping, storing, and shielding crypto on Starknet . The release went live on October 20, 2026.

Bramble is a self-custody wallet. That means users hold their own keys, rather than trusting an exchange or third party to hold them.

The headline feature is support for STRK20, Starknet’s privacy framework. STRK20 lets users maintain private balances on the network.

Bramble also plugs directly into Starknet’s on-chain privacy tools. Users can shield public tokens and send private transfers from inside the wallet.

Beyond privacy, the wallet supports Ledger hardware wallets. Hardware wallets keep private keys on a physical device, so signing a transaction requires the device itself.

Bramble also supports multisig accounts. A multisig account requires approval from more than one key before funds can move.

The self-custody controls go further. Bramble offers encrypted local vaults and spending allowances.

Hints about the wallet circulated as early as mid-September 2026. A beta version was available from October 12, 2026. The wallet was then publicly teased on October 19, a day before the official launch.

Bramble ships as a Chrome extension. The current listed version is 0.10.5, following a minor update on October 8, 2026.

Starknet’s STRK token serves as the network’s fee, staking, and governance asset. Every transaction a Bramble user sends on Starknet runs on that infrastructure.
