Large XRP holders are transferring more coins to Binance, and the total has reached its highest level in seven months. At the same time, the price is sliding. XRP trades near $1.30 after falling below the 100-day moving average, the orange line on the daily chart.
CryptoQuant data shows the 30-day sum of whale deposits to Binance is now near 1.6 billion XRP. That is close to the level seen in early April. In late July it dropped to approximately 400 million, so the total has roughly quadrupled in under three months. The largest single day came in mid-August, when deposits spiked just as XRP jumped toward $1.70.
This matters because coins on an exchange can be sold quickly. As one analyst put it: "Increased whale inflows to centralized exchanges can increase the amount of XRP available for trading, potentially raising the risk of selling pressure." An inflow does not prove a sale is coming, but it makes one easier.
The price chart fits that view. XRP peaked near $1.66 in late September, then lost about 20%. It has now fallen below the 100-day line and the 200-day line near $1.38. Volume is fading, and the RSI sits around 35, which indicates weak momentum but not yet an oversold market. The next support is near $1.28, where the current candle has just touched. Below that, the $1.00 to $1.05 area is the next major floor.
The network itself looks mixed. Total transactions are steady at approximately 2.4 million a day, and active accounts rose 10%. But payments fell 38%, and payment volume dropped 52%. In plain terms, more wallets are active , but less real value is moving through payments. That points to trading activity, not growing use.
For buyers to take control, XRP needs to climb back above $1.38. That would put it over the 100-day and 200-day lines again. Until then, the trend favors sellers, and the cards are stacked in their favor. If whale inflows keep growing while the price remains below $1.30, the risk of a drop toward $1.20 grows. If inflows cool and XRP holds support, the recent drop may end up being only a pause.
