A new independent organization, formed with the Dogecoin Foundation, brings the wallet, app layer, and merchant teams under one roof
Dogecoin now has a dedicated product shop. Dogecoin Labs, a new independent organization announced on October 21, 2026, will consolidate the teams behind MyDoge, DogeOS, and Such App.
The group was formed in collaboration with the Dogecoin Foundation. Its pitch is simple: give people more things to actually do with DOGE.
Dogecoin Labs is built around three projects. Each one covers a different layer of how someone might use DOGE day to day.
MyDoge is described as the leading Dogecoin wallet. It passed 500,000 users by October 2026, and it reached that number without paid user acquisition.
DogeOS is an EVM-compatible app layer that lets Dogecoin plug into the library of tools built for Ethereum -style apps. EVM stands for Ethereum Virtual Machine, the software environment that runs smart contracts on Ethereum and many compatible networks. Being EVM-compatible means developers can build for DogeOS with tooling they likely already know, rather than learning a new system from scratch.
DogeOS launched its public testnet, called Chikyū, on September 30, 2026. DogeOS also raised $6.9 million in seed funding in May 2025, in a round led by Polychain Capital.

Such App is the commerce piece. It centers on merchant tools such as invoicing and QR payments, and it had been slated for a first-half 2026 launch.
The integration work has already started. MyDoge has brought in features from DogeOS, connecting the wallet people already use to the newer app layer.
The stated aim is to stretch DOGE’s usefulness across payments, DeFi, gaming, and commerce. DeFi, short for decentralized finance, covers lending, trading, and other financial services that run on code instead of through banks.
The organization says it wants to improve the experience for a large holder base and encourage an on-chain economy. The partnership with the Dogecoin Foundation signals coordination rather than a splinter effort, though Dogecoin Labs is described as independent.
The timeline shows the pieces moving into place over time. Seed money for DogeOS arrived in May 2025, the Chikyū testnet went public at the end of September 2026, and the umbrella organization followed weeks later.
A few things are worth watching. The first is how DogeOS moves from its Chikyū testnet toward a production launch. The second is whether developers actually show up, as EVM compatibility places DogeOS in a crowded field of EVM-compatible environments competing for the same builders. The third is merchant adoption through Such App. MyDoge’s 500,000-plus users give Dogecoin Labs a ready distribution channel, and how many of those users try the DogeOS features will be an early signal of real demand.
