The deal plugs Chainlink's cross-chain and data tools into LG CNS's new KITL platform, with Korean won stablecoins and tokenized securities in focus

Chainlink and LG CNS announced a strategic partnership on October 22, 2026, aimed at building digital asset infrastructure for institutions in South Korea.

The core of the deal is simple. Chainlink’s cross-chain and data orchestration capabilities will be integrated into KITL, the digital asset platform LG CNS launched on October 6, 2026.

The partners have outlined three main goals. The first is expanding the utility and distribution of Korean won stablecoins.

The second is supporting tokenized securities. These are traditional financial assets, like bonds or shares, represented as tokens on a blockchain.

The third is secure interoperability between blockchain networks and existing institutional systems.

LG CNS is serving as lead contractor for the Bank of Korea’s Project Hangang, the central bank’s digital currency initiative.

Phase 1 of Project Hangang has been tied to around 80,000 customers across seven banks.

KITL also already has a growing roster of partners. LG CNS has lined up partnerships with Circle, Securitize , Canton Foundation, and Chainalysis as part of the platform’s ecosystem.

Each of those names covers a different slice of the stack. Circle is a stablecoin issuer, Securitize works on tokenized securities, Canton Foundation supports blockchain network infrastructure, and Chainalysis focuses on blockchain analytics.

South Korea’s digital asset market is valued at approximately $68–70 billion, making it Asia’s second-largest market for digital assets.

The integration of Chainlink’s standardized oracle technology into KITL enables access to real-world data such as price feeds and reserves, and builds on Chainlink’s existing presence in Korea, where it has been instrumental in promoting transparency for KRW stablecoins through its Proof of Reserve initiative.

KITL is designed to support multiple networks like Solana without needing separate implementations for each one, and provides digital wallets, transaction processing, and data collection services to financial institutions.

Investors and market watchers may want to follow concrete milestones: which banks or issuers onboard to KITL, when won stablecoins start circulating through the platform, and whether tokenized securities see real trading volume.
